Smoke detectors DO NOT save lives... people reacting to them properly is how lives are saved. A smoke alarm can't jump down off the wall and drag people outside when there's smoke and fire (I wish they would). Until we start thinking about the messages we are sending, we will continue to confuse people and mislead them with partially correct statements. What do you think?
