Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Course

Persons interested in receiving certification through the Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Level I course are encouraged to attend an upcoming outreach training. The State Fire Marshal’s Office will conduct training Thursday, April 27 and Friday, April 28, 2006. It will be held at the Washington Township Fire Department Training Center, 8320 McEwen Road, Centerville Ohio from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

This course will be held free of charge to all attendees. The course is open to fire service personnel, law enforcement, juvenile court, mental health, education, and other persons interested in or wishing to know more about juvenile firesetter intervention.

Please forward this information to others that may be interested. A course is scheduled at the State Fire Academy in March for those that may require weekend opportunities.  Course fees at the academy are $55.

The Arizona Fire and Burn Educators Association would like to invite you to our 2nd Annual Desert Southwest Fire and Life Safety Educators Conference being held in Laughlin, NV on June 14-16, 2006.

On June 12-13th we will be offering the NFA Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Specialist I class as a pre-conference event. This class will be held at the Bullhead City Fire Department, AZ (across the Colorado River from Laughlin) and the class size is limited.
